Breastfeeding to Age 3 - Handling the Criticism

I loved this article on reading it this morning. My son is almost 7 months and I already get asked regularly about how long I will breastfeed him. This reassured me that I am doing the right thing as a mother and gave me the strength to continue doing so. Thanks Dr. Sears!

Happy 4th of July

I feel so blessed this morning. My 5 month old is fast asleep after going for a walk with his parents around our neighborhood, the stray cat who I have been feeding for a year let me pet her for a brief moment while sitting on my porch, the tomatoes in my garden are turning red appreciating the water and love I have given them, as I write my indoor cat is sitting on the table by my side ensuring I don't work too hard and I have just cooked a delicious cornbread to take to our local community potluck celebrations. On days like this I have to remember I live in a city and not in a small town. Happy 4th of July - may your day be filled with loved ones in a place where your heart is warmed.
