Minimink For Dogs

Today’s blog is inspired by two things – one is Drover our adorable 5 month old Shih Tzu who is the star of his agility class and the other is his Minimink rug – something we once only looked at as a child’s blanket but now realize it’s the perfect high class doggie bed.

Drover claimed his own Minimink rug at our office (where he works on a daily basis) as well as a duckie handsqueaker and a FLATOUTbear. All items were acquired when our backs were turned and he had gone into the product area only to return with a collection of his favorite things slobbered on just enough that they are forever his.

The Minimink rug comes home with Drover each day and at bedtime, he cuddles up into it and sleeps immediately on lights out. We took his blanket to obedience class on the night he was learning ‘go to bed’ and it only took him one try before he had it down. I said, go to bed and he happily trotted to his Minimink blankie and lay down. The ooh’s and ahh’s from the other dog obsessed owners made us realize that not only does his blanket work for him, but other furry friends were happy to join the luxurious bedding club.

One Day At A Time

Well its only March (or already March depending on your view) and I have already been in two car accidents, had two broken limbs (unrelated to each other and unrelated to the car accidents) and now have a terrible dose of the flu - all this in 2009. I thought that with such a bad run in 09 that I must be due for something amazing so bought a lotto ticket. I checked the numbers today and guess what - not a single number on my quick pick was a match.

So I have had to take a big deep breath and decide not to let this get me down (the combination of factors, not the lotto) and take steps to pick myself back up.

So here is what I am going to do:

1. Focus daily of the six most important things I need to do.
2. Listen daily to affirmations - whether they be a mediation on the iPod before bed or Morning Coach on the radio in the morning.
3. Pick a weekend and have it to myself. Perhaps somewhere by the beach, where I can clear the cobwebs from the brain and renew my energy.
4. Eat better (and less). I have happily adapted to the USA size portions and now by body has had enough. Time to take control.
5. Smile. Its so easy not to when you are down, so I am hereby reminding myself that life is fun and I am loved.
6. Love my family and friends!

So negative Nelly - move out of the way. Tracey is kicking 2009 to the curb and looking forward to tomorrow.

Three Little Tree's Grow

With the philsophy of "we don't own this earth, we merely borrow it from our children" as their inspiration, Kate and Jacquie (two gorgeous blondes from sunny Queensland) developed a beautiful line of bold designs for boys and girls that enhance the beauty in children.

I love their vision and their designs and are so thrilled to be introducing Three Little Tree's to North America!
